The company is seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer with the ability to take charge and run the team in the absence of the Manager.
Position Overview:
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and systems. Working closely with a highly skilled team, you will ensure the seamless performance of the organization's systems, networks, and hardware, providing both support and strategic solutions to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain IT systems, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and monitor servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other teams to deploy new systems and enhance existing ones.
- Implement and maintain system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Provide technical support for system-related incidents, resolving them effectively and efficiently.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support when required.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols, and hardware management.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with system automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and relevant tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and network issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
