Our client based in Perth's CBD is looking to hire Payroll Senior to take the lead in delivering exceptional payroll operations while helping shape the future of payroll. In this trusted role, you’ll be the go-to expert, guiding a capable team and partnering closely with the HR Services Manager to elevate performance, drive innovation, and unlock efficiencies.

What you’ll be doing
- Owning the accuracy and integrity of payroll data — from salaries and benefits to tax, superannuation, and year-end processes
- Leading end-to-end payroll and shadow payroll processing with precision and timeliness
- Ensuring full compliance with payroll legislation including STP, PAYG, payroll tax, and superannuation
- Mentoring and developing your team, building capability and confidence across payroll operations
- Driving improvements within HRIS (ideally SAP), leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and outcomes
- Contributing to high-impact payroll projects that will shape the future of payroll
What you bring
- 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience in medium to large organisations
- Proven leadership experience, including managing hybrid teams
- Strong expertise in award interpretation, payroll legislation, taxation, and employment law
- Confidence working with payroll systems (SAP experience highly regarded) and adapting to new technologies
- A Cert IV (or higher) in Payroll Management
