About the role
DEL-RE NATIONAL FOOD GROUP is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This full-time role is based in Derrimut, Victoria, and will play a crucial part in supporting the financial operations of our growing organisation.
What you'll be doing

Preparing monthly financial reports and analysis to support decision-making

Conduct daily banking activities, including bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and liaising with banks for various transactions.

Support AR team with credit control tasks, such as assessing creditworthiness, AR reporting & monitoring credit accounts.

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and procedures

Supporting accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments

Assisting Senior Management with the month end, preparation of budgets, forecasts & adhoc reports

Providing support to the Finance team in ad-hoc projects and special assignments

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient workflows
What we're looking for

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role, ideally within the food or manufacturing industry

Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and data analysis

An Accounting Degree & working towards or completed CPA is desirable

Experience in public accounting practice is desirable

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
