We are partnering with a well-established business in the mining and construction support sector to recruit an experienced Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper for a temp-to-perm opportunity based in Perth. This is a varied, hands-on finance role that will see you managing the day-to-day financial operations of a busy and collaborative business. Working closely with both finance and operational teams, you will play a key role in ensuring processes run smoothly across accounts, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting. The environment would suit someone who enjoys building relationships across the business, takes initiative, and is confident communicating with operational stakeholders when following up on invoices, purchase orders, and account queries.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end accounts payable and receivable
- Daily and monthly account reconciliations
- Assisting with cashflow monitoring and reporting
- Processing supplier payments, including international transactions
- Payroll processing and related administration
- Month-end support including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Liaising with warehouse, workshop, and project teams regarding invoicing and inventory
- Maintaining internal finance records and registers
- Providing general finance and administrative support as required
About You
- Previous experience in a similar accounting or senior bookkeeping role
- Strong transactional finance background across AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
- Comfortable working closely with operational and non-finance teams
- High level of accuracy and organisation
- ERP system experience preferred (NetSuite, MYOB Advanced, Pronto or similar)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
