Accounts Payable & Payroll Administrator

About the Role
This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with administration, accounts, or payroll experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and growing business.
The role has a strong focus on Accounts Payable, including high-volume invoice processing and data entry, while also providing exposure to a range of payroll administration responsibilities. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and is eager to learn and grow with the company over the long term.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Data entry of accounts payable transactions into the accounting system
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Responding to supplier enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation
- Assisting with month-end accounts payable processes
Payroll Administration
- Assisting with the preparation and processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls
- Maintaining employee payroll records and data
- Processing timesheets and leave requests
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Supporting onboarding and offboarding administration
- Maintaining employee records and ensuring payroll compliance
- Assisting with superannuation, taxation, and payroll-related queries
- Providing administrative support to the Finance and Payroll teams as required
About You
- Previous experience in accounts payable, payroll administration, finance administration, or a similar role
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Comfortable managing repetitive, high-volume processing tasks
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with accounting or payroll systems will be highly regarded
