Are you an SAP payroll specialist who knows your way around EBAs and takes pride in getting the details right?

I’m working with a well established WA business looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a fixed term contract through to June 2027.

With a new payroll system implementation on the horizon, you’ll play an important role in keeping day-to-day payroll running smoothly while the existing team supports the project.

You’ll be joining a supportive payroll team, reporting to the Payroll Lead and working alongside another team member, so you’ll always have someone to bounce things off.

What you'll be doing

  • Processing end-to-end BAU payroll in SAP, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.

  • Interpreting and applying EBAs and four modern awards.

  • Processing salary sacrifice, salary packaging and other employee benefits.

  • Reconciling payroll, superannuation, payroll tax and deductions.

  • Maintaining accurate employee records in SAP HR.

  • Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers.

  • Supporting year-end activities and STP reporting as required.

  • Ensuring payroll is processed in line with relevant legislation, agreements and employment conditions.

What we're looking for

You'll be a hands-on payroll professional who can hit the ground running and is comfortable working with complex pay conditions.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Strong SAP payroll experience – essential.

  • Experience interpreting and applying EBAs and modern awards.

  • Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and taxation.

  • Experience with salary sacrifice and employee benefits.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.

  • Good communication skills and a team-focused approach.

  • ADP timesheet experience would be an advantage.

What's on offer?

  • Fixed-term contract through to June 2027.

  • Hybrid working, with one day from home once you're up to speed.

  • Flexibility around start and finish times.

  • A modern Perth CBD office.

  • A supportive team environment where you'll have help when you need it.

  • The opportunity to play a key role in maintaining BAU payroll during a significant systems project.

Interested?

If you have solid SAP payroll experience and are looking for your next contract opportunity, I'd love to hear from you.
