We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller. You will play a key role in supporting statutory and management accounting requirements, contributing to accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad accounting experience in a project-driven environment and work closely with senior management and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts to support business operations
  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Prepare and distribute management and forecast reports for assigned business units
  • Post monthly journals including prepayments, provisions, accruals, and consolidation entries
  • Maintain work in progress files and calculate monthly cost of revenue journals
  • Prepare and analyse overhead reports
  • Prepare BAS returns(GST, PAYG, FBT, and income tax instalments)
  • Assist with external audits, including audit file preparation and statutory accounts
  • Manage intercompany loans and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Upload job budgets into ERP and assist with annual FBT, income tax returns, and budget preparation
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by the CFO, Financial Controller, or Senior Management team

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or equivalent
  • CPA or CA-qualified
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience
  • Strong experience with accounting packages and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Up-to-date knowledge of taxation legislation and statutory requirements
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
  • Australian police clearance

Desirable

  • Experience working with an ASX-listed company
  • Experience in a project-based or construction environment
  • Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or other Oracle ERP systems

  • Internal: CFO, Financial Controller, Finance team, Senior Management, Area Managers, Project Managers, Engineers
  • External: External auditors, ABS, ASIC
