Join a large and highly regarded WA-based infrastructure organisation delivering essential services to communities across regional Western Australia. This is an opportunity to partner with operational leaders, influence strategic decision-making, and contribute to long-term commercial and financial performance in a complex, asset-intensive environment.
Working within a collaborative finance team, you will provide high-quality commercial and management accounting support across budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, reporting, and business partnering activities.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with divisional leaders to support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
- Preparing business cases, financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
- Delivering insightful management reporting, KPI analysis and commercial recommendations
- Monitoring budget performance and identifying risks, trends and opportunities for improvement
- Supporting tender pricing, contract analysis and financial impact assessments
- Driving process improvement initiatives, automation opportunities and operational efficiencies
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to improve financial literacy and business performance
- Assisting with management accounting activities, reporting packs and ad hoc financial analysis
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or similar
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards completion) highly regarded
- Experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Strong financial modelling and business case preparation capability
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable commercial insights
- Experience working within large or complex organisations
- Exposure to ERP and BI systems such as TM1, Power BI, Cognos or similar
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office capability
Desirable Experience
- Infrastructure, utilities, energy, government or asset-intensive industry exposure
- Understanding of commercial operations and operational performance drivers
- Experience supporting operational or regional business units
