Aurion Payroll SME / Senior Systems Specialist

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Aurion Payroll SME to join a large, complex organisation undertaking significant payroll and HR systems initiatives. Working alongside Payroll, Finance, HR, Technology and Project teams, you will play a key role in supporting system enhancements, improving business processes and contributing to future transformation programs.

This position is ideal for someone who combines deep Aurion expertise with a strong understanding of payroll operations, HR systems and workforce management. You will be instrumental in ensuring the organisation's payroll environment is optimised, compliant and well positioned for future system implementations.

Experience with other HCM, payroll and workforce management platforms will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical system solutions.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement, optimisation and maintenance of the Aurion Payroll system.
  • Configure Aurion to meet payroll, legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Review and validate both standard and custom reporting to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Analyse and improve payroll and HR system processes, controls and data integrity.
  • Lead and support data cleansing, validation and migration activities for system enhancements and future implementations.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of new HCM and payroll system projects.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing and defect resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements, process documentation, user guides and training materials.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with relevant legislation, policies and organisational standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience working with the Aurion Payroll system.
  • Advanced knowledge of Aurion configuration, administration and support.
  • Strong understanding of payroll operations, HR systems and workforce management.
  • Experience supporting payroll, HRIS or HCM implementations, upgrades or transformation programs.
  • Proven ability to review and optimise payroll processes and system functionality.
  • Experience with data cleansing, validation, migration and data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while working collaboratively across multiple teams.
