Accounts Receivable Officer (3-Month Contract to Permanent)

An established manufacturing business based in the South Western Suburbs is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their finance team on an initial 3-month contract, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right person.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys transactional finance and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are key. Our client is looking for someone who is available to start immediately.
The Role
- Processing and reconciling bank statements daily
- Matching incoming payments to customer invoices
- Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with account reconciliations
- Supporting the wider finance team with transactional accounting duties
- Liaising with internal departments regarding payment queries
About You
- Available to start immediately
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Assistant, or similar transactional finance role
- Strong experience with bank reconciliations and payment allocations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
- Experience using Sage Accpac would be highly advantageous, although not essential
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
